- Espresso's voice and appearance bear a resemblance to Robert De Niro, while Milano bears a resemblance to the late Marlon Brando.
- Both of their voice actors are voiced by Canadian voice actors who were known for voice-acting in Johnny Test (with Lee Tockar being the voice of Bling-Bling Boy and Wacko and Trevor Devall being the current voice actor of Dukey replacing Louis Chirillo because he moved to Brazil to be with his wife).
